The organization was founded by Lorie Reardon, a registered nutritionist, in 1997 when she realized that clients
were sacrificing their meals in order to feed their pets.
Through the work of volunteers, pet food and monetary donations
are collected for those suffering from a combination of poverty and severe chronic medical conditions.
